The sum insured of the basic plan shall be paid out in the event the insured becomes totally and permanently disabled before policy anniversary nearest to the insured’s 65th birthday.

Upon Critical Illness claims (expect for Angioplasty And Other Invasive Treatments Artery Disease), this amount will be payable on death after a survival period of at least thirty days after diagnosis of Critical Illness and before the original maturity date of the policy.
EXCLUSIONS/LIMITATIONS OF COVERAGE FOR ING PREMIER CRITICAL COVER (IPCC)
A. There will be no coverage for:
1. Suicide within one (1) year from the Date of Issue or Date of Reinstatement of the Policy, whichever is later.
2. Critical Illness
i) disease (s) resulting from acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), AIDS – related complex or infection by Human Immuno Deficiency Virus (HIV) unless the condition of the disease or infection arose as a result of blood transfusion in accordance with the critical illness definitions of the policy.
ii) Pre – existing Illness which existed before the Policy Date of Reinstatement of the policy, where pre – existed Illness shall mean disabilities that the Life Insured has reasonable knowledge of. A Life Insured may be considered to have reasonable knowledge of a pre – existing condition where the condition is one for which:-
- The Life Insured had received or is receiving treatment; or
- Medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment has been recommended; or
- Clear and distinct symptoms are or were evident; or
- Its existence would have been apparent to a reasonable person in the circumstances.
iii)Angioplasty, cancer, coronary artherectomy, heart attack, other serious coronary artery disease and/or surgery for coronary arterial disease occurring within sixty (60) days after the Policy Date or Date of Reinstatement of the Policy.
iv) Diseases other than those specified in 2 (iii) above occurring within thirty (30) days after the Policy Date of Reinstatement of the Policy.
v) Critical Illness claim/s resulting directly or indirectly from any Congenital Conditions for lives with age of entry of two (2) years or less where such disorder is known to the Policy Owner. Congenital Conditions shall mean any medical or physical abnormalities existing at the time of birth as well as neo – natal physical abnormalities developing within 6 months from the time of birth. They will include hernias of all types and epilepsy except when caused by a trauma which occurred after the date that the insured was continuously covered under this Policy.
vi) Critical Illness resulting from all or any self – inflicted injury while sane or insane.
3. Total and Permanent Disability resulting from
i) Travel or flight in or on any type of aircraft expect on a regular scheduled passenger flight of a commercial aircraft.
ii)Any activities of a military nature whilst being engaged in military service.
iii)All or any self – inflicted injury while sane or insane.
B. The aggregate amount of sum insured issued by the Company under this policy and all polices providing for similar critical illness coverage on the same life shall not exceed RM1,000,000.00.
C. Sum Insured for child below the age of four (4) years is reduced upon death, TPD or diagnosis of any of the Critical Illness or actual undergoing of Surgery covered by this policy of the child. The sum insured payable will be according to the table below:

PLEASE NOTE:
- IPCC is open to anyone from 30 days old to 60 years old subject to underwriting.
- Premiums are payable throughout the policy term on a yearly, half – yearly, quarterly or monthly basis depending on your payment choice.
- Premiums are based on your entry age and are guaranteed level throughout the policy term.
- A policy terminated within the first three policy years will not have any cash value. If you terminate your policy in the early years, you may get back less than the amount you have paid in.
- You should satisfy yourself that the plan will best serve your needs and that the premium payable under the policy is an amount that you can afford.
- If you cease paying premiums, any accumulated cash dividends will be utilized to pay future premiums and this may shorten your coverage period.
- Within fifteen (15) days from the date the policy is delivered to you, you are free to review the policy and cancel the policy without assigning any reason. ING will refund all the premiums already paid less any expenses incurred for medical examination (if any).

A. ING Mediplus. It is compliant with Bank Negara JPI/GP116 Guidelines on Medical and Health Insurance Business (Revised) issued in August 2005.
Q. Can I still purchase the old medical plan?
A. No, as the old medical plan has been withdrawn and has been replaced with ING Mediplus.

Q. What is the difference between the cashless and non-cashless options?
A. There is no difference for the plan benefits except for the cashless facility i.e. ING Medical Card where authorized hospital bills are settled upon discharge. For non-cashless, you pay first and submit your claim to ING for reimbursement. The premium rates for non-cashless option are lower than the cashless option.
Q. What the differences between ING Medical Plan (IMP and IMP II) and the ING Health Plan (IHP)?
A. Total bill under ING Health Plan (IHP) is covered or reimbursed as per amount charged while ING Medical Plan customers need to pay RM50 out of the total bill. No changes in the coverage

Q. Can I convert my policy from IMP11 to IMPlus or vice versa?
A. Conversion is not allowed.
Q. Why is the new hospital plan has a deductible feature where customer needs to pay certain amount of the medical bill?
A. This plan is in line with LIAM’s requirement to apply co-insurance and/or deductibles on all new Hospital & Surgical (H&S) insurance policies issued on and after 1st October 2003. Conjunction to act to the guideline, as of 15/1/2004, all IMP and IMP II plan will have self-insured deductible. AHM and IHP benefit will remain the same with no self-insured deductible. A deductible amount of RM50 is payable by the policyholder. This deduction is applicable per hospital admission / outpatient surgery and the same amount will apply for plans 1, 2, 3, or 4
Q. Instead of paying the RM50 upon discharged from the hospital or deducted during reimbursement, can I request to deduct the RM50 from the balance of my coverage?
A. No
Q. If I were to admit into a government hospital and by total bill is below RM100, will I still need to bear RM50 for the total bill or will I get reimburse in full?
A. Yes, the RM50 will still be deducted from the total bill.
Q. Upon claim, how will the RM50 being deducted?
A. For Cashless admission, the customer needs to pay RM50 upon discharged from the hospital. This is on top of any excess amount resulting from non-payable items reflected in the GL (Statement Of Approved Claim) under “Amount Not Approved” generated by Medilink.
For Non-Cashless, ING will reimburse the balance of the amount after deducting the RM50 from the total bill.
Q. Is this deductible feature applies for every admission or per disability?
A. Applies for all admission and day care surgery.
Q. Beside from the RM50 customer need to pay, is there any other charges the customer may need to bear?
A. No other charges except for any excess amount resulting from non-payable items reflected in the GL (Statement of Approved Claim) under “Amount Not Approved” generated by Medilink

Q. Why am I no longer entitled for in-hospitalization visitation program?
A. The hospital visitation program was an initial promotional move when we first launched the health plan with the cashless facility and the company has decided to cease the visitation program effective March 1, 2003. However, for policyholder carrying Cashless Plan under Plan 3 & 4, you are still entitled for Get Well Gift program.
Q. Who is entitled for Get Well Gift Program?
A. All Cashless policyholder with plan 3 or 4 are entitled to Get Well Gift Program if the life insured admitted to the hospital.
Q. How can agents collect the Get Well Gift for their customers?
A. Below are the following procedures that apply with regard to the collection of the gift from any of ING main branches nationwide:-
After the policyholder is discharged, Citibank will forward the cash benefits cheque for agent to deliver to the customer. Together with the cheque is an attachment marked, “Please collect your get well gift from the branch” for agent to claim the gift.
Please collect the gift from any of our main branches within 1 month from the date of receipt of the cash benefits cheque failing which the gift offer shall lapse
You should be able to collect your gift within 3 working days upon presentation of the cash benefit slip. However, if the quantity to be collected is large or the gift is not in stock, please allow 3 weeks for stocks to be made available.
Agent will need to deliver the gift item to the policyholder and return the acknowledgement of receipt to the branch within 14 days of the delivery date.
Q. Who is Datalink?
A. MediLink is our systems and network provider for the automation of cashless facility in the hospitals.
Q. Who is Asia Assistance?
A. Asia Assistance is our service provider for the International Medical Assistance program. They also facilitate cashless admission to non-panel hospitals.
