If you prefer investments that are less risky, or you need diversity in your current investments or if you have not started any form of retirement planning, ING I-Retire is meant for you. This is a plan with a short premium paying duration of 20 years or up to age 60, whichever is earlier.

ING I-Retire not only gives you more flexibility to reach for the dreams you aspire but it can also aid in offering security to your family. Retirement is definitely easier with ING I-Retire.

Some of the plan’s features are option to vary premium/ sum insured, fund switching, investment top up, fund withdrawals and premium holiday.

Benefits:

Life protection and total and permanent disability coverage - sum insured is 20 times the annual retirement income;

Maturity benefit – the lump sum maturity benefit consists of the insured amount and non-guaranteed dividends in the form of accumulated cash dividend (if any) and terminal dividend (if any);

Annual retirement income (appx 5.00% of sum insured) – you get to determine the amount of retirement income during policy inception, in multiples of RM 120;

Annual cash dividends (appx 7.5% of sum insured)– the amount will be declared yearly but is not guaranteed;

Terminal dividends – the amount is not guaranteed and will be payable upon termination or maturity of policy;

Family income benefit – payable annually for a maximum of 20 years if death or total and permanent disability happens before or upon age 45. The number of annual payment reduces if death or disability occurs after 45, but before age 65. More details on how this works, can be found in the policy contract.

Features This is a participating whole life plan with guaranteed interim cash payments (ICP) that matures at age 85 with limited premium payment period. The policyholders will participate in the profits of the Company by way of dividends.

It offers guaranteed interim cash payments (ICP) of 4.5% or 6.0% of sum insured payable annually on survival to the end of each policy year starting from the end of 10th or 15th policy year respectively till age 85 as long as the insured is alive and the policy is still in-force.

ING I.ExpatCARE Insurance in Malaysia

ING I.ExpatCARE insurance is a yearly renewable international healthcare product, offering in-patient and out-patient care as well as extra benefits inclusive of physiotherapy, preventive care, wellness benefits and maternity care, both to individuals and corporations.

I.ExpatCARE Individual
The I.ExpatCARE is offered to Malaysians and permanent residents of Malaysia (based on the Inland Revenue of Malaysia’s Guidelines) as well as full time foreign employees of a company incorporated in Malaysia.
Individuals aged between eighteen (18) years to fifty nine (59) years (to the nearest birthday) are eligible to apply for the I.ExpatCARE together with their legally married spouse and unmarried children (aged thirty (30) days to nineteen (19) years or twenty three (23) years, if still pursuing higher education and is not gainfully employed).

I.ExpatCARE Corporate Company
The I.ExpatCARE Corporate is open to Malaysian employers (company incorporated in Malaysia) to cover their
Expatriated Malaysian employees (and dependents) on foreign assignment outside Malaysia
Non-Malaysian full time employees (and dependents)

All current and future full time employees aged eighteen (18) years to fifty nine (59) years (to the nearest birthday) are eligible to apply for the I.ExpatCARE Corporate. The legally married spouse of the Insured Employee and their unmarried children (aged thirty (30) days to nineteen (19) years or twenty three (23) years, if still pursuing higher education and is not gainfully employed) are also eligible for coverage.

Comprehensive Medical Coverage

In-patient Care
The I.ExpatCARE provides in-patient care coverage for admission to a hospital, which includes room & board charges, doctor’s fees (surgeon & anaesthetist’s fees), medical facilities charges as well as special cancer treatment, kidney dialysis and organ transplant charges.

Out-patient Care
Benefits here include consultation fees for a General Practitioner or Specialist for common sickness, bodily injuries, diagnostic tests and medication. Out-patient cancer treatment, kidney dialysis and day care surgery are also part of this benefit.

Extra Benefits
In addition to the above, the I.ExpatCARE includes benefits such as physiotherapy, medical aids (hearing aids, orthopaedic appliances etc.) and treatments performed by complementary medical practitioners (chiropractor, osteopath, acupuncturist and homeopath) that have been prescribed by a doctor. Maternity coverage (except Elective Caesarean Surgery) is also included.

Geographical Coverage
The I.ExpatCARE offers you a choice between three (3) geographic areas of cover

Worldwide cover (Zone A)

Worldwide cover excluding United States of America (USA) and Canada (Zone B)

Worldwide cover excluding USA, Canada, Switzerland, European Union, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore (Zone C)

However, during business trips or holidays not exceeding ninety (90) days, medical expenses incurred in the excluded countries as a consequence of an accident or a medical emergency will be covered up to the limits of the plan purchased. If the medical condition concerned already existed prior to travel to the excluded countries, then the medical expenses related to that medical condition are not covered.
