Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS)
The date 31st January 1994 was an historic moment that brought enlightened hope to the thousands of local community members who had gathered in the small town of Beaufort, Sabah. Our esteemed Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad in meeting with the people made a promise that a university will be built in Sabah. The announcement was spontaneously followed by loud cheers, and became the driving force for the establishment of a university in Sabah.

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS)
The university was officially incorporated on 24th December 1992. With about 30 academic staff, the University opened its doors to the first batch of 118 students on 8th August 1993. The students were registered in the two pioneering faculties, the Faculty of Social Science and the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology. Two academic support centres were also established: the Centre for Applied Learning and Multimedia, and the Centre for Academic Information Services.

Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT)
UMT is the 14th public university in Malaysia.  Located in Terengganu, a state in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Evolved originally from the Centre for Fisheries and Marine Science of the then Universiti Pertanian Malaysia (UPM) in 1979 serving as practical training facilities for students and lecturer in the Marine Science and Fisheries programmes. In June 1996, the entire Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences UPM was moved to Terengganu and given an enlarged scope and a new name – Faculty of Applied Science and Technology. The campus was then recognized as a branch campus of UPM where the Faculty of Science and Professional Arts was also inaugurated.

Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI)
The Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris was established on 1st May 1997 based on Government gazette P.U.(A) 132 & 133 dated 24th February 1997 under the Order of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Corporation) and the Order of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (Campus) 1997. However, the history of this University dates back to 1922 when the University was then known as Sultan Idris Training College (SITC).

Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) merupakan IPTA ke 15 Negara. Ditubuhkan secara rasminya pada 27 September 2000 dengan pengkhususan kepada bidang Kejuruteraan, Teknologi Kejuruteraan, Pengurusan Teknologi serta Pendidikan Teknik dan Vokasional. Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM)
Sejarah Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) bermula dengan penubuhan Akademik Tentera Malaysia (ATMA) pada 1 Jun 1995 sebagai organisasi yang bertanggungjawab menjalankan program pengajian diperingkat Sarjan Muda dan latihan ketenteraan kepada Pegawai Kadet Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM). Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP)
Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) bermula dengan Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kampus Cawangan Pahang (UTM-KCP) yang beroperasi di sebuah kampus yang terletak di Bandar Indera Mahkota, Kuantan sejak tahun 1999. Penubuhan Universiti ini adalah hasil daripada cetusan idea YAB Dato’ Sri Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak yang pada ketika itu memegang jawatan sebagai Menteri Pendidikan Malaysia. Hasil daripada usaha gigih beliau, Jemaah Menteri pada 26 Jun 2001 telah membuat keputusan untuk menubuhkan sebuah Universiti Teknikal Awam yang berasaskan kemahiran di Negeri Pahang Darul Makmur dan dinamakan sebagai KUKTEM. KUKTEM adalah sebuah Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Awam (IPTA) yang ke-16 yang diwartakan pada 16 Februari 2002 dengan perkenan Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong di bawah Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti 1971.

Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
This emblem, originally designed by Mohd. Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia (UDM)
Impian penubuhan universiti penuh pertama di Terengganu dan Pantai Timur, menjadi satu realiti apabila Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia (UDM) ditubuhkan pada 1 Januari 2006.
